This was the first time that I had heard a share expressed as a story in this was. It greatly increased the potency of the message that Don was bringing to the still suffering and the recovering alcoholic alike.

I was so excited to find Don C's speech on this site. I did hear him speak at Mahnoman, MN about 2006 and always wished I had purchased his tape. Now I got to hear it again and that is so wonderful. Thank you Don C. for your contribution to my sobriety.

Excellent share....loved the

Excellent share....loved the analogy of the fighters. That is so true how an alcoholic thinks.. I loved the Indian way of thinking and how Don showed his elders the 12 steps of AA and the elder said they have the same thing but its in a circle. It starts out in the east with step one and ends at the north with step 12. A full circle to freedom

I cannot find a sponsor that

I cannot find a sponsor that will sponsor like Don had. I have several years of sobriety, and have searched for someone to teach me out of the bb. I have a sponsor and have asked her to go through the book with me. I guess it is too much trouble to give it like they get it anymore. Thank you for posting this speaker that talks about the steps and how to work them out of the big book. I took notes with this Speaker!

I was delighted to hear his

I was delighted to hear his early struggle with alcohol related as a story with two protagonists, just the same as other stories within his culture. He had a very good sponsor who guided him through the steps. At the end it was a bonus to learn he is involved with 'White Bison' which sends out a daily reflective piece on Email.

A surprisingly great

A surprisingly great speaker, totally AA but with an Native American slant. An excellent depiction of the disease and inspiring message of recovery.
