Tears are streaming down my face. Thanks to HP for having this tape available. I couldn't go to a meeting tonight and was starting to drift into my own egotistical thoughts and said to myself listen to a speaker tape and I picked this one because he was from LA and my alcoholism was full steam when I lived in LA. So powerful and helps you to never forget what it was like before I was sober. Thanks for letting me share.

My name is Luis, and I am a recovering alcoholic. Today I am sober because I choose to be honest about my self and all my defects of character. This tap is very inspirational and up lifting to me. I made very many mistakes in my life. But my greatest mistake of all is not being honest with my self and others. Honesty has become the key that unlocked the door to my living hell. I am attending a fourth and fifth step daily. The celebration belongs to my family. They are the ones who tolerated me all these years. I stay clean and sober for my self. I do it because i am learning to love and respect self and others. Thank you for listening.
